Hello, I’m Julia Finlay

I am an Osteopath specialising in Cranial Osteopathy. I run my practice from my home clinic in leafy West Norwood. In my spare time you’ll find me out and about playing tennis, swimming or practising yoga.

I work with adults, children and babies. My two ‘babies’ are now at university, I can’t quite believe it! Osteopathy has been interwoven through their childhoods and has helped them through the many ups and downs of growing up.

Please read more about me and my work -

Registered Osteopath

I am a Registered Osteopath, M.Sc B.Ost. The letters mean I have a Master’s of Science degree in Paediatric Osteopathy from The Osteopathic Centre for Children and a Batchelor’s degree in Osteopathy from The University College of Osteopathy (formerly known as The British School of Osteopathy). I am trained to diagnose and treat patients in the same way as other primary care practitioners. As an Osteopath I am recognised as a Allied Health Professional. This is the official acknowledgement that Osteopaths have trusted status as healthcare practitioners who work in partnership with the NHS.

Working in Osteopathy

I worked for an Osteopathy practice in East Dulwich for 5 years and ran an NHS clinic at a GP surgery in South London before I opened my own practice in 2012.

Teaching Osteopathy

Teaching Osteopathy is very important to me. I used to be a volunteer tutor at the renowned Osteopathic Centre for Children from 2007-2017 I enjoy teaching Cranial osteopathy to 4th year undergraduate students at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, and I also tutor in their Children’s Clinic there on Wednesdays. Also, I am part of a team of 4 people who run an exploratory weekend in Biodynamic Osteopathy in October each year, you can read more at Biobasics.

Pure Pregnancy Network

I am delighted to be part of the Pure Pregnancy Network of professionals who support women in South London through pregnancy, birth and the early months of being a new parent with a newborn baby.
